Argentine Picnic Spread
A genuine work of culinary art! I picked up this recipe from the TV show "Picnic." If you're heading outdoors and want something fresh and different — if you're tired of the same old kebabs and campfire hot dogs — then this Argentine picnic spread is exactly what you need. It's drawn from Argentine cuisine, comes together quickly and easily, and, best of all, tastes fantastic.

- From a single piece of beef tenderloin we'll make both a steak and a banana braise. Cut the beef for the steak into as many portions as you need, pound it flat, and marinate: toss the meat with oil (I recommend olive oil), then season with salt and pepper — I like a pepper blend for this — and add whatever spices suit your taste. Lay the marinated meat on the grill and cook until the steak is done to your liking. Cut the remaining beef into medium cubes and drop them into a Dutch oven with hot oil. Add the onion cut into rings and the soy sauce, stir everything together, season with salt and pepper to taste, then add the peeled and sliced bananas. Feel free to throw in more spices — it's up to your imagination. Braise until the meat is tender. For a side, we'll make a salad: cut all the vegetables into thin strips, toss together, add the canned green peas, season with salt, and dress with olive oil. Garnish with parsley. Enjoy your day out!
