Kefir Dough for Soup Halushky (Dumplings)

    1. Mix the egg with the salt and kefir. 2. Stir half the flour into the liquid mixture. 3. Sprinkle the baking soda over the mixture and stir. 4. Add the rest of the flour and knead the dough (don't forget to sift the flour). 5. When the soup is almost ready, drop the dough into it by the teaspoonful and wait for the halushky to float to the top. Boil for 2 minutes, turn off the heat, and let the soup rest. Enjoy! Smachnoho! P.S. If you prefer your halushky less fluffy, work in a little more flour, let the dough rest in a bag for half an hour, then roll it into a log and cut it with a knife (like lazy vareniki or gnocchi).
