  • I came across this recipe somewhere online and really loved how it was presented — and the ingredients are all delicious. Salads are my favorite thing to eat. It's called "Salad with Smoked Chicken Breast and Prunes," and it couldn't be simpler. You can buy smoked breast ready-made at the store; you just need to cut it into small pieces. Pull some pickles from your winter stash — for this salad it's better not to slice them but to grate them on a coarse grater. Peel the onion and finely dice it. Hard-boil one egg and grate it too. Do the same with the boiled carrot. Rinse the prunes well and chop them finely. Lay lettuce leaves on a plate. Build the salad on the dish in layers, in this order: chicken breast, pickles, onion, egg, carrot, green peas, prunes. Lightly salt each layer and spread it with mayonnaise. You can decorate the salad however you like — I loved the version in the photo, where we made little flowers out of carrot and radish. Sprinkle the salad with fresh herbs first, then arrange the flowers on top. Enjoy!
