  • This is a recipe for a very light party salad — a dessert salad. It's also a good fit for anyone trying to lose weight. Finely chop the carrot, ideally into thin matchsticks. You can shred it in a food processor and then dry it a little on a paper towel to remove excess juice. Cut the apples into small cubes; chop and dry the pineapple the same way as the carrot. Cut each grape in half. Put everything in a large bowl. Add the chopped celery stalk and chopped walnuts. Mix the two yogurts together to make a lemon-vanilla dressing. Pour the yogurt over all the ingredients in the bowl and add sugar to taste. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Instead of sugar you can use a sweetener if you want to cut the calories or if sugar is off-limits for you. If you like, you can add raisins and shelled sunflower seeds. Put the finished salad in the fridge overnight. Before serving, stir it again and spread it on a flat dish. Decorate it however your imagination dictates — for example, arrange carrot slices around the edge of the dish so it resembles flower petals.
